Announcements

ATTENTION! VERY IMPORTANT ANNOUNCEMENT FOR EVERYONE!

The next payment is due in June. Our Incredibly Awesome Travel Witch, Ellie, is requesting that our payments come in by June 1st, which is only two weeks away. The next payment is $200. The final payment will be due in August, and you will just be paying the remainder of your balance for the cruise at that time.

I am very excited to announce that we have over 200 passengers setting sail with us on the very first Harry Potter Cruise. This is INCREDIBLE! I never in my wildest dreams thought that so many of you would come out and support this like you have. You are so incredibly awesome!

Please contact Ellie as soon as possible about making your payment. The best way to contact her is by e-mail (ellie@thomastravelmasters.com or miselliem@hotmail.com).
It is super important that you pay this next payment because Carnival has been working on making a schedule of our group activities, but they won’t finalize it until we have an accurate head-count.

I have spoken to Carnival Representatives, and they are nearly as excited as we are. They are incredibly impressed with the response to an inaugural group cruise, and they want to accommodate nearly every request I have made with them. So, get those payments in, and let’s get ready for Wrock and Rowling!

There may be some of you that haven’t put a deposit down yet. IT IS NOT TOO LATE!!!! You can pay the deposit and the June payment at once, and still be a part of Fandom history in the making!

As always, I keep myself open for questions. My e-mail is pattie@saobart.com. I will be posting some scheduling information as soon as I hear from Carnival.

Thanks again, everyone!
We’ll see you in Wrocktober!

Making some Announcements!

Registration is still open! There is no deadline at this moment. We have a limited number of cabins on hold at our special group rate. Once they are gone, we will negotiate a new price and room block. But it is still only a limited amount, so I urge everyone if they are interested in contacting Ellie, our Incredibly Awesome Travel Witch, and reserving your cabin!

Fuel Supplement
This is a serious announcement for everyone joining us for Wrock the Boat, especially those who have already put their deposit down.
Carnival has added a Fuel Supplement charge to every cabin traveling after January 2008. There will be a $50 charge added to each cabin. Those who have not booked their cabins will see that the price quoted to them has this Fuel Supplement added in. Those who have already paid their deposit before January may not have seen or known about this charge. It is $50 per cabin, not person. So, if you have 4 people in your cabin, the Fuel Supplement per person will only be $12.50. Two people will be $25 each.
This is a quote from the Carnival website explaining the Fuel Supplement:
"The fuel supplement is necessitated by significant rises in fuel prices which have dramatically increased Carnival Corporation & plc’s operating costs. In fact, over the past three years, the price the company pays for fuel has increased by 140 percent, with a 50 percent increase occurring in just the last seven months. Until now, the company has been absorbing this significant increase in fuel costs. Unfortunately, we cannot continue to shoulder this huge cost burden and now find it necessary to implement a supplement to partially offset a portion of soaring fuel costs. The implementation of the fuel supplement beginning February 1, 2008 for our North American brands will result in consumers paying approximately one-third of our year-over-year fuel cost increases over the first sixth months of the fiscal year. Implementing this fuel supplement was a difficult decision and we hope that our guests will understand that this is a necessary step in today’s challenging economic environment."
We apologize for those who have already been quoted their price for the Wrock the Boat Cruise. this was unforeseen and unfortunately, unavoidable. If you have questions about the Fuel Supplement, please do not hesitate to ask.

Okay everyone, this is an exciting announcement for me to make. Sorry, no, I haven't heard back from Carnival about some of our programming. They still haven't decided what they are doing on their end, so it's hard to expect them to plan for our group just yet.
I was doing some errands on the West Bank today, across the river. And the most amazing thing happened. I was jamming out to Louisiana's own Purebloods and crossing the Mississippi River Bridge when I looked over the side and saw it. There was the Fantasy at port, waiting for her new passengers for her next voyage. Little does she know that in a few months, she will be hostess for one of the most amazing parties to sail the seven seas! But it was so ironic, because I was siriusly wrocking out to one of the bands I have been DYING to get on Wrock the Boat.
Have you guys ever been on a cruise? Siriusly, what is a cruise without a little disco? Huh? And siriusly, what would Wrock the Boat be without the Deatheater Disco? It would be SHAMEFUL! That's what!
So, without further ado, I am so extremely pleased to announce to all of you that we will INDEED be doing the Deatheater Disco on Wrock the Boat! Why? Because ALL THREE PUREBLOODS (and Rodolphus to boot!) will be on Wrock the Boat! Check out their MySpace and go squee to your heart's content that those beautiful gorgeous sexy Purebloods are actually gracing us with their presence, style, and music! The Purebloods

I know a lot of you are starting to make your travel arrangements for coming to New Orleans. Here are a couple things I would like for you all to consider while making these travel arrangements.
The cruise will leave Monday afternoon and return Saturday morning. I strongly advise against planning on arriving Monday morning and/or leaving Saturday afternoon. Snags could be extremely costly in this case.
We recommend arriving in New Orleans sometime Sunday, at the latest, and plan on leaving Sunday at the earliest. And we also plan to make this arrangement worth your while, too.
There are plenty of options, but some plans are being made and discussed about a huge Wizard Rock concert in New Orleans' French Quarter, private Haunted History Tours (given by the top tour guides in the country), and various other parties that will be happening the week before and after Halloween.
I just wanted to give you all a heads up about these plans as well, so you can all begin to plan accordingly. I hope to see all of you on Wrock the Boat, but I am extremely excited about some of the activities we are planning before and after the cruise.
Ellie, our Incredibly Awesome Travel Witch can help you all with booking a hotel. If you would like recommendations, I will be happy to be of assistance as well. I can recommend Haunted Hotels for those looking for a special Halloween treat, as well.
