Right after the Harry Potter Symposium
“Prophecy”, I was sitting out by a café, looking
out at the Mississippi River. I watched as The Carnival Fantasy
sailed passed, with all her passengers on deck to bid a Bon Voyage.
I sipped my smoothie and thought about some of the fantastic times
I had on cruises in the past. There were a ton of good times, my
friends.
But, as I do with everything in my life, I began to think not just
of my great vacations on cruises, but my exciting adventures with
my friends in the Harry Potter Fandom (because I relate EVERYTHING
in my life to Harry Potter, which of us doesn’t really). And
I remembered The Witching Hour, Lumos, Phoenix Rising, and Prophecy.
And I took a slow, deep relaxing breath as I thought about some
of my favorite memories on cruises and with Harry Potter.
My mind sorta worked like this:
“Cruises. Harry Potter. Harry Potter. Cruises….. “
And now you could see the light bulb above my head and my eyes fill
with hope and wonder! What in the world? A HARRY POTTER CRUISE!!!!!!!!!!!
So, I contacted my travel agent and we started to put this thing
into motion. We got this thing into motion way before I thought
we could, and before I knew it, people were asking me questions,
e-mailing me (which, don’t get me wrong, I LOVE e-mails!),
and wanting to WROCK THE BOAT!!!
So, here we are. For Halloween week 2008, we shall Wrock the
Carnival Cruises’ “Fun Ship” Fantasy for a week
of Wrocking and Rowling.
If you have never been on a cruise before, you haven’t really
lived. If you haven’t participated in a Harry Potter Symposium
before, you haven’t really lived. But if you attend a Harry
Potter Cruise, like Wrock the Boat, then you will have lived a
life that could be envied by the GODS!
Look around, and see the ship. This is going to be so awesome!
I will be updating the Events portion with news about Wizard
Rock performances, special events for our group, and other related
information. Please check back periodically as I will update dates
and information pretty regularly.
